Here is some information on Sumter, SC golf courses:
Beech Creek Plantation, a championship course beautifully situated at the site of one of the last battles of the Civil War. The downhill dogleg 17th hole is a challenge no golfer should miss!
Crystal Lakes The first hole on this course, a 140-yard, par 3, has a peninsula green; the remaining par 3's are very challenging as well. Water hazards come into play on the first five holes. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an 18-hole round.
The Links at Lakewood, rolling through wooded hills and sprinkled with water hazards, features the area's only island green and has been rated 3.5 stars by Golf Digest. Lakewood offers private club quality at reasonable rates.
Pocalla Springs is a short, open course, fun for every player, but even seasoned golfers will find some holes a test of skill. The annual Pro Am attracts club pros from all over the Southeastern US.
Sumter National, carved out of a dense forest of towering pines and majestic hardwoods, is a Russell Breeden-designed course with a 15 th hole that has been featured in Golf Digest. A golfer's paradise!
